Registration is closed. All applicants have been informed about the decision of the committee and the details of payment.
Please note: If participation of the conference is cancelled after January 31st, 2016 we cannot refund the conference fee.
The conference is aimed at PhD students, master students and first year post-docs in the fields of quantum optics, atomic and molecular physics as well as quantum information science, both experimental and theoretical. To keep enough room for personal discussions and due to finite space and funding, the number of participants is limited to about 90. All participants are expected to present their current work in a talk or a poster presentation.
The conference participation fee is 200 € and is due by the end of January. The fee includes accommodation from Sunday 21st to Friday 26th of February 2016 with breakfast, covers lunch and coffee breaks during the conference and the conference dinner. Other dinners as well as traveling expenses are not included.
In case you do not require accomodation, you should explicitly contact the organizers. The fee is then reduced to 100 €. Note that it is very hard to find alternative housing for five nights for less than 100 € in Munich or Garching - the preorganized accomodation is a very good deal. Also keep in mind that it might take a lot longer to travel to Garching from different parts of the city of Munich.
Few scholarships are available, covering the conference fee. To apply for a scholarship, we ask you to send a motivation letter (one A4 page) and a recommendation letter of your supervisor in addition to the normal application.
